Roots - the second part of Michael Schindhelm's exhibition project focuses on cultural identity in the age of globalization, using Bali as a case study. Featuring works by contemporary Balinese artists, it includes excerpts from Schindhelm's docu-fiction Roots. The reserrected figure of the artist Walter Spies, serves as a guide through modern Bali, nearly a century after his initial visit. Accompany Spies on his journey through today's Bali, offering a reflective lens on Bali’s evolution.
